this should start your client resolver on your PC/workstation

type server IP of your RAQ

Does this come back

then type

www.domain.com

does this resolve

If this resolves then DNS is running correctly for that domain on your RAQ.
I am assuming you are internal to your RAQ, i.e. inside firewalls etc.

If this does not work try the same from a SSH connection to the RAQ. If this
works and the first does not then you probably have a firewall problem. You
need to let UDP 53 through your firewall to answer queries, and TCP 53 if
you want external people to take copies of your zone which in most cases is
not advisable.
