Jonothon,
I got the idea of uninstalling the package from Jerry Farquhar (see previous
thread) as the first step in trying to get my Web server back in operation.
I, like many others, have installed the latest Cobalt patch for Apache
(All-Security-2.0.1-15417.pkg) on my RaQ4. This crashed the server, and it
is no longer operable. Rebooting and restarting httpd has had no effect.
On the SunCobalt Support Forum, there are currently 83 messages from
frustrated folks most of whom think that SunCobalt screwed up by putting
this patch out without first testing it. SunCobalt is offering very little
advice. My RaQ is co-located at RackShack.Net, who refuses to do give any
help; however, they have offered to restore my system. I understand that
this means reformatting the drive. For a non-nerd this is all a bit
disconcerting. The bottom line is that my business is shut down until I
find a fix.
Roger

You're trying to uninstall a security package? Oh...that could be why it's
not letting you. I don't know *if* it's a good idea to uninstall a security
package in the first place. What problems are you having exactly, Roger?
