[cobalt-users] Help Needed with mySQL

Hello cobalt-users,

  I just installed mySQL version 3.23.37 in pkg format.

  I know that my RAQ has mysql in RPM version which is now no longer
  working after the upgrade.  According to the instructions, I can
  install a pkg version which will overwrite the default mysql that
  came from factory with my raq.

  The problem is that I get this message now:
[admin admin]$ mysql
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'
 (111)

 Can anyone help me resolve this.  I have 2 databases on the old mysql
 and need to recover them.

 Any help you can give is appreciated.
