Subject: [cobalt-users] bad kernel

After installing RaQ4-All-Kernel-1.0.1.216C28III.pkg my Raq4 would not
reboot. colo rebooted it and said
------------------------
Unable to boot system with currect Kernel and had to boot system from rom
kernel. Once system is online, Customer needs to enter the server and
repair the changes the where madeto cause this issue.
------------------------
I can get to the command line, any ideas other than a restore
thanks

If you have saved a backup copy of /boot/vmlinux.gz
in /usr/games/.doug you could reboot back to a version
of you kernel that worked. Perhaps if you reboot with
the rom kernel you can copy /boot/vmlinux.pkgsave to
/usr/games/.doug and then reboot to get back to the
previous version of you kernel. The knowledgebase contains
info about how to reboot to the backup copy of the kernel
in /usr/games/.doug
