[cobalt-users] RE:NTP Servers

Hi Yah Jeff,

You replied..."Chae, what's the output of your cat /etc/sysconfig/ntpd?"

RAQ3:
[root@ns admin]# cat /etc/sysconfig/ntpd
cat: /etc/sysconfig/ntpd: No such file or directory

Then did...

[root@ns admin]# locate ntpd
/home/doc/xntp3-5.93/ntpdate.html
/home/doc/xntp3-5.93/xntpd.html
/home/doc/xntp3-5.93/xntpdc.html
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc1.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc2.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc3.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc4.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc5.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rc6.d/K10xntpd
/etc/rc.d/rcN.d/K09xntpd
/etc/cron.daily/ntpdate.auto
/usr/sbin/ntpdate
/usr/sbin/xntpd
/usr/sbin/xntpdc
[root@ns admin]#

So obviously I haven't got one :)

Is there suppose to be one on a RAQ3? Can I create one? If so what's the permissions and contents of the file or can someone email me a copy and I'll try that

Regards

Chae
