Hello everyone,
Today we received our first RaQ550 servers. First thing: I think Sun
did a great job with this server! It looks good, some great new
functions, and ofcourse even easier to handle. Thanks Sun and keep up
the good work :)
Because we use RaQ4r's for the most, we use the following additional
packages:
- Neomail (or Open Webmail);
- Fileman;
- Webalizer.
There isn't a ready-made package for these three for the 550, but
that's not a problem. I can install them from source (or use a RAQ4
package and alter it a bit). But now comes the problem: user
authentification. Fileman as well as Webalizer use .htaccess to
protect the subdir where all the information is installed.
I already saw that the RaQ550 doesn't use the /etc/passwd file to
manage his users. So I think that's the problem why .htaccess auth
doesn't work correct. For example, Webalizer, uses the following
.htaccess file:
#Access file
order allow,deny
allow from all
require group site2
Authname WebStats
Authtype Basic
When accessing ~stats (and after typing the username and password) I
get a Internal server error. When I look in /var/log/httpd/error, I
see:
[Mon Jul 1 20:56:29 2002] [crit] [client ip.adr.es.zz] configuration error: couldn't check user. No user file?: /~stats
Does anyone know how to solve this? I would like to have the same
packages as on my RaQ4, so I can start moving some sites using the
beta-CMU-utility :)
