hmm, this is the conclusion I'm drawing to. The problem I've got is that
the
backup files are about 500mb and to have a valid backup which will
restore
after any problems, Im presuming you need to download the whole lot,
including the header.
If I was to have a local copy on my windows machine which will allow
extraction (eg from winzip), I would then have to run the 'strip' script
on
the backup and also download a non-header version, making it a near a
gig
transfer??
What is the reasoning behind the 'header strip' script not being able to
run
on windows?? I know theres differences in unix and windows files but is
there potentially a way this could be done or is it a no?
Thanks
Steve
My windows exe will strip the headers out just fine...
But im not so sure if winzip will extract a 500MB tar.gz with thousands
of files inside correctly...
You should look into this:
http://www.neuhaus-internet.de/cobalt/raqbackup/installation/
It creates tar.gz files for each user and sites + cobalt restore files
and dns and mysql data...
