Subject: [cobalt-users] extract Raq backup on Windows?
Hi all..
This may have been answered before but I couldn't find anything in the
archives so apologies if so but would appreciate a pointer.
I basically run the RAQ backup weekly and download it to a local FTP
site
held on my windows machine.. Im hoping this is fine but would like to be
able to open the backup file (*.raq) to make sure its complete and that
its
working!! and also perhaps extract individual files if required.
Ive a RAQ3, shortly to purchase a RAQ4 also.
I have found the perl script which is circulating which strips off the
header from the backup file, leaving a .tar.gz file which does work
using a
normal windows zip program such as winzip, but I was wondering if theres
a
known way to be able to strip this header off from within Windows and
open
up the file??
is this possible, Im afraid my learnt knowledge ends there!! :)
I would appreciate any help with this matter
regards
Steve
I have a windows exe file which will strip the headers.
Let me know I can email it to you as attachment.
By the way if you need good backup use this:
