Experimenting with my little RAQ until now:
Situation:
Going to rebuild RAQ3 from scratch (learning about it/linux still)
I have lurked the list for some time and digested as much as I could. I've
decided I will be installing the following apps (unless someone can explain
to me why I wouldn't want to, or have a different substitution I may not
have encountered here on the list yet):
OpenSSH
PortSentry
MySQL 3.23.47
PHP 4.2.1
MRTG
IPChains <- do I need this if behind an seperate hardware firewall?
Question:
Other than doing the Cobalt patches/upgrades in a particular order, has
anyone had any evil experiences with these apps that leads them to believe
they too should have their own order of installation (other than MySQL
before PHP...)?
