Hey SUN, is there an Apache patch coming today or not? I have a single
website on a dedicated RaQ3 that get's nearly 1500 visitors a day.
Yesterday apache went down three times, each time I was able to login to a
shell and see that there were more apache processes with ps-aux than I had
ever seen, and netstat showed more connections than I had ever seen on the
server. I'm partially assuming that we were being taken advantage of, maybe
to dos someone else? At any rate, we're seriously considering ditching our
raq's and moving to easier to update rh linux boxes next week. We had
considered getting a couple of RaQ 550's for our little operations, but not
if SUN is going to release patches at a rate that makes MSFT look
responsible.
annoyed,
Brad
