Hi all,
Im looking for a bit of help!
I was trying to install openssh 3.3 from the source yesterday to secure our
box. As I had never attempted such a thing before, it was obviously slow
going to begin with.
Well, I got it installed but could not connect, for some reason it allways
told me that the admin password entered was incorrect?
But.. I could use the same password and telnet in, strange hey?
I noticed the openssh pkgmaster pkg this morning so decided to install that.
( by install, obviously i mean over the top of existing manual attempt)
This has not worked, I still have the same problem. Could anyone tell me how
to rid the server of both of these installs so I can install the pkg. (
package works on our main server, first time )
Just for the sake of people waiting to do this, installed the pkgmaster
package on our main box, over the top of openssh 3.1 and it worked straight
off. ( straight out of the packaging you could say )
Thanks in advance
MJM
