[cobalt-users] 2.4 kernel on Qube3
- Subject: [cobalt-users] 2.4 kernel on Qube3
- From: David Clements <clements@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Date: Wed Jun 26 13:53:00 2002
- List-id: Mailing list for users to share thoughts on Sun Cobalt products. <cobalt-users.list.cobalt.com>
I successfully upgraded the Qube's firmware to
2.3.40 per "README.2.3.40.rom . Then I tried to install
kernel-2.4.16C2_III-1.i386.rpm along with the
three fixes you outline in "README.gen_III".
That system almost successfully boots, but gets
stuck as shown below:
I also tried building a kernel from sources
and ended up with similar hdc/ide_dmaproc errors.
Got any suggestions? Need any more details?
Thanks
-David Clements
