Make sure you're logged in as root, not admin when you do that, it sounds like the path isn't set, just type:
/sbin/route -n
Which prints out the current routing table, then delete using
/sbin/route del ip.ip.ip.ip
The routing table gets restored back to the default on every reboot, so anything that is blocked once, won't still be in after a reboot.
