This is what I get:

[root@ns admin]$ /etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd start
Starting sshd:
[root@ns admin]$

Not very descriptive! Is it possible there are 2 SSHs on the RaQ? The
pkgmaster.com SSH package was installed on there but never worked, so we
paid our ISP to install SSH for us. Maybe I'm trying to start the wrong SSH?

By the way Andy, it was your Portsentry PKG that we installed. Thanks for
such a great PKG - without it we would have had to pay our ISP to install
Portsentry for us as we don't have the Linux expertise required in-house!

Try
locate sshd

see where they are and you may want to check the sshd.conf and see if it is turned on in the config file.
