Hi,
I have installed ALL patches in the correct order, and like you I have
waited until the dust appears to have settled before I apply them.

I have had no problems with any patches that I have applied. I put this down
to the fact that I only intefere with the server config via the GUI.

I shouldn't think that the PHP update would interfere with your existing
version, but I have found that if you don't have the package as supplied by
the official site, then later updates sometimes do not work.

(case in point, the raid update package. I don't have raid, but the OS2
update wouldn't install without it ! )
