Try pulling the fans out,
Peel the label back and squirt a drop of oil in there, spin the fan by hand a
liitle. Put it back in....
We have fans that have beed running for months since the above treatment.
Yep, we do that with many different pc fans.
The bearing eventually becomes dry or clogged with dust and seizes. Use a
very light oil, like sewing machine oil and Don't use too much! If you need
to replace the label with a new one, a small piece of mailing label or disk
label works well.
If you put it back in without the label it won't last long.
Re-lube of fans is part of our annual cleaning and maintenance on all of
our computers. While you have the RaQ Apart, I would also use an air
compressor to blow out any dust that has accumulated in the machine.
