Re: [cobalt-users] New error after Security-2.0.1-13323.pkg update

I had noticed this but I thought that it was due to factors unrelated to the patches.

It seems that sasldb is supposed not to be group readable. Doing chmod 600 /etc/sasldb should fix this.

A brief description of SASL can be found at:

If you have logcheck running, it will email you. If not check your messages log, maillog log, auth log
See if you have anything new, like the following

Jun 19 12:06:04 www sendmail[31711]: error: safesasl(/etc/sasldb) failed: Group readable file Jun 19 12:07:26 www sendmail[31753]: error: safesasl(/etc/sasldb) failed: Group readable file

or

Jun 19 04:15:02 www proftpd[11138]: AllowChmod is deprecated, and will not work consistantly, use <Limit SITE_CHMOD> instead. Jun 19 04:30:00 www proftpd[11790]: AllowChmod is deprecated, and will not work consistantly, use <Limit SITE_CHMOD> instead.

The FTP error I do have :(
