Subject: [cobalt-users] Urgent help required

I have no idea why this is happening but I created a mailing list through
the control panel on my Raq4. I sent a message out this morning and I am
getting complaints that people are getting it multiple times (up to 8).

I'm worried that this is going to go on forever.

Can anyone tell me where I can look to see what's going on please?

This might be one (or more) of several problems. One of the
first that comes to mind is Out-Of-the-Office autoresponders
which direct the arriving mail back to where it came from.
Adding an extra header to list messages and also configuring
a corresponding "Taboo_Header" may stop that sort of problem.
At least it should prevent messages from the list from being
sent back through the list. The downside may be more bounce
message for the list-owner to deal with. But at least they
would be sent to all the list members and they wouldn't
be recircurlating back through the list.

Setting the Sendmail checkpoint interval lower may tend to
minimize the number of duplicted mails that may result when
the process of emptying the queue is interrupted. To better
troubleshhot the problem you really need to look at the raw
messages (including headers) for some of the duplicated
messages. The Received headers should shed some light on what
the problem is.
