mm some accident Peter not only did you use the wrong CD but now you are
wondering if there would be a problem running this config, if I had made
that accident I would have then rebuilt it as a RaQ2 when I discovered
it - unless of course it was one of those accidents waiting to happen
and you wanted to see if a RaQ2 could in fact become a Qube2 and use it
as such.

As a rule all of the Cobalt products of the same architecture can be
restored onto any product of the same architecture i.e. MIPS based
RaQ1,RaQ2,Qube2 and CacheRaQ can all be built on a RaQ2 there are
certain requirements for some products i.e. 2 NICs or in the case of the
4R dual drives.

To do this for commercial reasons is against SunCobalts software license
but I believe it is overlooked if you are just doing it to look at the
product or do some development basically don't put it all over your
website that you build RaQ4 software onto RaQ3 hardware or Sun will and
have take action (an ISP in the US did exactly this and got their wrist
slapped and maybe more).

Some of this has been covered in the archives already - always wise to
check first before posting a question.
