How much data are we talking about?
The way Qube backups work is to create the backup local and then send it
somewhere else. The main problems with this are the fact that no single
file can be bigger than 2GB on a Qube and you may also run out of disk space
during the creation of the backup.
I cannot comment on the exact errors you are getting as I don't use the
built-in backup capability for the reasons described above.
I use either Retrospect for MacOS or Retrospect for Windows to backup the
mounted AppleShare or SMB volumes. This leave system config and email
vulnerable, but you may choose to use the built-in capability for these
bits.
The other ... more important issue ... is RESTORE. I gave up on the
built-in backup capability as restore was tedious and unreliable. What is
the point of backup if you can't restore?
