This works pretty good.. cat /proc/bw_mgmt/tot_cnt -ed > > hi, > > I can't remember the linux command to check current bandwidth usage on my > raq. > > Can anyone help me rememeber it? > > The command returned the value of incoming outcoming bandwidth on an > ethernet port in bps. I guess it must be an average, like the command > "uptime". > > I think the output was something like: > > eth0 128521 1233 > > Thanks in advance, > > Anthony >
When you use cat /proc/bw_mgmt/tot_cnt, it gives you averages and a total. For what time frame are these? Is it the averages and total for the last month, year, life of system??? Is there a way to request the averages and total for a certain time frame? For example, could I reqeust the average and total for May 1st thru May 31st?
