Thanks all, got nmap installed on my 2nd RAQ2.
The compile and install routine worked fine, a few errors that mean
it won't run in a gui (it notes that guis are for wimps!)
Did a scan and here's the meat of the response, see anything wrong?
(used nmap -v -sS -O mymachineipaddress)
Adding open port 81/tcp
Adding open port 21/tcp
Adding open port 53/tcp
Adding open port 443/tcp
Adding open port 444/tcp
Adding open port 143/tcp
Adding open port 25/tcp
Adding open port 80/tcp
Adding open port 110/tcp
Adding open port 22/tcp
Should any of thost ports be closed?
