[cobalt-users] Web server down (was lost web interface RaQ4)

I've just gotten back into my Cobalt GUI on a raq4r after having some problems. Going to server status I get a message that the webserver has been down for nearly two weeks.
but the problem may stem from when I created a samba share in the same partition as root without knowing the space limitations of that partition. (I'm a neophyte at this). I proceeded then to completely fill up the partition until it wouldn't take any more (200 mgs of files). Since I was still operating stupid, I assumed that the partition (on a 40 gig drive) would hold way more than that. Therefore I deduced that it must be some kind of 200 mg limit imposed by the system, either Cobalt's or Samba's. So I didn't worry about it. I left it over the weekend. I figured it out that I had filled up the partition instead the next week and emptied out my data files. So I'm assuming that is what brought down the webserver, though I could be wrong. The system couldn't write any log files or anything.

Anyway, now some things are screwy. Password file is locked so can't change it (I'll look into it) logrotate.status is producing errors, etc.

When I try to restart httpd via command line I get a syntax error for UserDir no command or whatever..

Cheers,

Jim D.
