I'm saying that I ran the chkconfig program and made sure that ssh was
set to come on at runlevels 2345 around after the time I first asked
on the list. It seems to have worked well since then -- though I don't
remember if I upgraded anything that required a reboot.
Somehow when I rebooted today, after installing a patch, it was only
on for level 2. I reset it to come on for levels 2345. I am curious
what could have caused this. I would like to trace it out. I am
reasonably sure noone altered the runlevels with chkconfig. So some
other mechanism reset it.
I'm wondering if something is resetting it perhaps an entry in Cobalts
internal datastructures that are managing the machine.
