According to that FAQ, one way to resolve the problem is to use a
mailertable with an entry telling the Qube's Sendmail to use plain SMTP
when talking to hosts with this issue. It appears, however, that the
Sendmail on the Qube is not configured to allow the use of a
mailertable.

I have found instructions on how to recompile the sendmail.cf to allow
for a mailertable but I am leery of doing so for a number of reasons.
First, I am a newbie when it comes to Linux in general and compiling in
particular. Second, I am concerned that the sendmail.cf on the Qube is
tweaked and customized to work with the GUI on the Qube in ways that are
not known to me.

I sent an email to Sun Professional Services a month ago inquiring as to
whether they could, for a price, recompile the sendmail.cf and set up
the mailertable and, if so, their proposed fee. So far, I have not
received a reply to that email.

Is there some other way of resolving this problem?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
