Hi Guys,
I've just turned on a Qube3 after relocating it and AppleTalk services
appear to be missing. I've found the following in messages;
Jun 6 21:27:47 qube papd[1427]: restart (1.4b2+asun2.1.4)
Jun 6 21:27:48 qube kernel: eth0: speed=100 duplex=full link=up
Jun 6 21:27:55 qube papd[1427]: can't register Lexmark:LaserWriter@*
Jun 6 21:27:57 qube afpd[1436]: Can't register qube:AFPServer@*
Jun 6 21:27:57 qube afpd[1436]: ASIP started on 192.168.100.36:548(0)
(1.4b2+asun2.1.4)
Jun 6 21:27:58 qube afpd[1436]: uam: uams_clrtxt.so loaded
Jun 6 21:27:58 qube afpd[1436]: uam: uams_dhx.so loaded
Jun 6 21:27:58 qube afpd[1436]: uam: "DHCAST128" available
Jun 6 21:27:58 qube afpd[1436]: uam: "Cleartxt Passwrd" available
I guess the failure to register the Lexmark print queue and the qube as an
Appleshare server are the reason for not seeing them in Chooser.
The question is why can't these services register?
Cheers, Malcolm
