I have several websites on a Win2k machine that are using headers so that
you would get to a specific website like family.xxxxxx.com. How can I get
the RaQ4 to do the same thing so I can move the website to it?
I checked the manual and this is not covered. I always RTFM!
It is called a virtual site.
On main server management page of the GUI click on "Add Virtual Site"
Fill in the blanks
host family
domain xxxxxx.com
alias (leave this blank)
email alias (leave this blank as well)
for the main site it would have been
host www
domain xxxxxx.com
alias xxxxxx.com
email alias xxxxxx.com
The site is www.xxxxxx.com thus the alias of xxxxxx.com.
They would both display the same page
The email would be user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx thus the email alias of xxxxxx.com
so you can receive email addressed to user@xxxxxxxxxxx
You can create all the sub-domains you want.
Just create a new virtual site and put the different host name for each one
If the sites are to be set up the same, make sure you have set up the
default for virtual sites.
Do make sure you are pointing the DNS as the IP for each of the sub-domains.
