You can always try telnetting to port 143 of your raq to find out.
On my Qube3, it looks like this:

	tdunn@cobalt (2:984)> telnet localhost 143
	Trying 127.0.0.1...
	Connected to localhost.
	Escape character is '^]'.
	* OK localhost IMAP4rev1 v12.264 server ready
	0 logout
	* BYE cobalt.dunnclan.dyndns.org IMAP4rev1 server terminating connection
	0 OK LOGOUT completed
	Connection closed by foreign host.
