I feel I'm making progress but getting more and more confused. I
followed advice to try the command 'locate suid' to see what other
suid programs I might have. I have installed Open Webmail and noticed
that Open Webmail installs wrapsuid.pl. When I ran this program
against my test two things happened: it became executable with the
suid bit on and it became a binary.
Does this mean that I'm right that suidperl is not truly available? Is
wrapsuid suitable as a subsitute? Can I simply run wrapsuid on the
programs I need?
I came upon two additional problems. I couldn't add a directory to my
path by creating a .bashrc file as specified in the knowledgebase ref#
020521-000001 and I can't figure out how to retrieve and printthe
embedded documentation from in the wrapsuid.pl program.
