Hi all,
I am after drawing on your vast knowledge and experience in
recommending some good books that can teach me a thing or two.
To start with a good linux book that is as close as is possible to the
version used within our RaQs, namely 3 & 4 which is what I have, so
that I can get to understand some more about the httpd, srm and all
those other guichy files that the GUI enables us to leave well alone :)
A MySQL administration book is the other. Along the lines of how to add
users with their own passwords and strict permissions so that I can
provide site admins with a MySQL database of their own, but not able
to access any others. Pretty much anything along those lines would be
great.
This one is probably well useless in asking, but anyone know of any
good books specifically for the RaQs? I have heard of this Sun package
of CDs etc (quite pricey as I understand), but this is not available
for UK users, or is it so, anyone got any suggestions.
Anyone in the UK gone through this already, bought a load of books
along those lines mentioned above which now gather dust that they want
to sell on? Drop me a mail maybe.
Thanks all and have a good day/night where ever you may be.....
Ian
