Rather than /home/goodies, Brent, how about under a user? Perhaps
admin?
I know that makes the path a bit longer, but you can create a symbolic
link to /home/goodies.
What's the advantage? Users are migrated using CMU; if you use CMU for
backup, you'll backup all the custom stuff. Otherwise you'll have to do
it separately.
