It's a sad day for me now because I had to let go my Cobalt RAQ4.
Downside being due to the hosting company, I never got to see how
much I could've done with the RAQ.
I had demanding clients that wanted video trailers online, shopping
carts, and downloads. With the server up and down, slow bandwidth
and such I decided to try out a SuperMicro Server with 2.2 GIGHz
and 1 gig of ram for starters.
I will miss ChiliSoft but I will try the JDK - Tomcat and program
in JAVA instead of ASP. My UltraDev supports *.JSP. That was the
main issue I had with buying something else other than Cobalt.
I have RH 7.2 on hand and just d/led 7.3 last night. Webmin should
take care of administrative duties on my end and might get Plesk
as a control panel down the road.
P.S. I read some network magazines this week and SUN was mentioned
in 3 parts of the magazine along with Cobalt in one sentence from what
I recall.
Ahh, I love the super micro boards... good show.
