http://www.spews.org/ (If it's listed there, I'll check the "evidence
file" and block whatever needs blocking. e.g.,
http://www.spews.org/html/S590.html adding 65.121.184 65.212.148
206.191.174 209.191.176 209.191.177 209.191.178 209.191.179 to my
/etc/mail/access list)
http://relays.visi.com/nph-l
http://www.ordb.org/lookup/
http://www.mail-abuse.org/cgi-bin/lookup

If it's frequent and I recognize the IP block as being one of the bigger
ones, e.g., 63. 209. 64. etc. I may run a search on Google for the
news.admin.net-abuse.sightings newsgroup to see if it's been showing up.

You may be surprised to find that some of what you thought were
reputable companies were ignoring their posted AUP as long as the heat
didn't get too intense. Now that SPEWS has been listing larger blocks,
causing their legit customer's email to start to bounce, those ISP's are
starting, slowly, to take action against the scammers and criminals they
have been taking money from.
