I've been able to do some of this but not all of what I'm trying to do
here.
I have a site configured for a library. Paul Postel had designated the
lib.xx.us domain where xx is the code for your state, for
libraries. It is also common to use .org, as in nypl.org. I have a
site configured on a RaQ XTR.
machine.domain.lib.xx.us
www.domain.lib.xx.us brings up the site but it changes to
www.machine.domain.lib.xx.us when it comes up in a browser. Also, all
the mail in the webmail comes up with machine.domain.lib.xx.us. I
would like for both
www.domain.lib.xx.us and www.mylib.org to come up as the same site --
leaving domain.lib.xx.us or mylib.org in the browser window. I would
like webmail to let them send their mail with either the mylib.org or
the domain.lib.ny.us -- but never the machine name.
I created the site as sit-name.domain.lib.ny.us. Does that lock me into having
the web page always come up that way.
Also, in the web DNS settings there seems to be only space for two DNS
servers in the SOA configuration. Since I'm trying to run DNS as my
own primary that leaves me with one. Is that a mistake?
