[cobalt-users] HELP: Problems installing RaQ4-All-Kernel-1.0.1.216C28III.pkg

Hello all,

I have a RaQ4 and I am attempting to install Update: Kernel Update 1.0.1 -
RaQ4-All-Kernel-1.0.1.216C28III.pkg via the GUI "Software Install". I keep
getting the message "Problem installing package component:
modutils-2.4.3-1C1.i386.rpm"

Interestingly enough, the list of installed software lists the update as
being installed even though I get this error. If I try to install the next
update in the Cobalt update list (OS Update 2.0 - RaQ4-en-OSUpdate-2.0.pkg)
I get the message that I need to install the Kernel update C28III.

I removed the installation of SSL and NeoMail thinking that third-party
stuff was racking up the works. No luck. I was able to reinstall NeoMail,
but I get the same modutils error message when I try to reinstall SSL. For
security precautions, I now have to enable and disable telnet when I want to
telnet into the box.

I have tried to find an answer in the Cobalt knowledge base but have not
received a response. I also spoke with our co-locater. I need to install
this so I can move forward with the rest of the RaQ updates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried installing the updates
with all of the options available via the GUI as well as via telnet.
