Maybe that is the diff, I just let mine install where it desired
/usr/local/bin/gpg, I also used ./configure --disable-ldap
I am also using gnupg-1.0.7.
For the Record, I ended up with this gpg line
@enc_data = `echo "$data" | /usr/local/bin/gpg --always-trust -aer gerald
--homedir /home/sites/home/users/admin/.gnupg`;
Where gerald is the owner of the public key and the recipient of the email,
and that is all on one line.
