I have a situation where I can use the web interface fine for administering
my RAQ3i but cannot login via SSH or Telnet as the admin user. I search the
archives but only can up with items where people couldn't login as admin via
the GUI but could SSH.
In the web interface I cannot manage the default site neither. It throws up
an Internal Server Error: "The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."
I had noticed that my Logcheck scripts have been returning this error by
Sendmail
May 9 10:39:27 <machinename> sendmail[7529]: SAA23275: SYSERR(root):
include: initgroups(admin, 27) failed: Invalid argument
This may hint at something wrong with the "admin" user. I doubt it is a good
idea to delete and recreate.
I ran the meta-verify and that didn't throw up errors with the default admin
site but did fix some basic errors with other sites.
Any clues anyone. I could try migrating all the sites onto another RAQ (so I
have a new default site) but maybe that will carry the problem across.
