You can use the database features with the current version.  I don't have a lot
of time right now, but here are a couple links you can use to get started:

I even have something around here -- somewhere -- about converting an MS Access
db to dBase format and using DSN-less connections, but can't find it right now.
I knd think that was in the ChiliASP documentation.
