Steve --
When I enter the IP, I come to Java Bob's Deli page.
When I add the above IP address and www.xyztesting.org to my HOSTS file:
127.0.0.1 localhost
206.127.79.220 www.xyztesting.org
...and enter the domain in my browser, I come to a new Cobalt default page --
"Welcome to the Web Site of www.xyztesting.org. This page is a place holder for
the home page of your own web site."
Looks like the solution works fine from here. Just do a search on your machine
for the HOSTS file and add the entry just like above -- that is a TAB between
the IP and the domain name, by the way, not a space.
You can take the same file and just ask your customer to save it to the correct
directory on their machine. On Win2K it is in "C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc."
It is in "C:\Windows" on my Win98 machine.
