Hello,
Recently my hosting company installed RaQ4 server software on my RaQ3.
I am unsure how to configure the RaQ4 GUI control panel so that spammers
cannot use my server as an open-relay. We do not allow users to use the
server to send mail; we only allow them to receive it. (i.e. they must use
their ISP for sending mail).
I believe that the server is set up correctly, but we have been getting lines
like the following in our maillog file:
May 2 13:07:19 new sendmail[29425]: g42H7Iv29425:
from=<xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx>, size=1802, class=0, nrcpts=1,
msgid=<20020502171036.47530.qmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
o.com>, bodytype=8BITMIME, proto=SMTP, daemon=MTA,
relay=ssss.yahoo.com [vvv.xxx.yyy.zzz]
Does anyone know how to verify that the server is secure with respect to this?
Thanks for any help.
