No.  I recommend using mysqldump, which is included with MySQL, to create
portable database dumps which can be used to rebuild your databases.  Used
in conjunction with gzip you can compress the backups.  Or you can use
something like mysqlhotcopy.

The general consensus is that the backup utilities through the Cobalt
interface are not very reliable.  I personally haven't tried them since the
RaQ2, but that still seems to be the consensus.  Better to use your own
backup scripts, the CMU utilities, or 3rd party scripts like raqbackup.
