RE: [cobalt-users] Reverse Problem

Well...
My company has a few servers and 1 server is mine and my company has reverse
of the entire ClassC.
So, i'd use the last few IPs for my own use.

Regards,
Rick

I never heard of a subnet starting with 250
You must have something like 248 - 255 (/29 net) or 252 - 255 (/30 net)
For instance on the 248
248 is the network
249 is most limely the gatewaay
250 - 254 are for your use
255 is the broadcast address

I do my DNS manually, but if your using the GUI when you are done
Your in-addr.arpa file (pri.248-29.189.126.202.in-addr.arpa) would look
something like;

; ZONE: 248-29.189.126.202.in-addr.arpa
$TTL 86400
@ IN SOA host.domain.tld. root.host.domain.tld. (
  2002042500	; serial number
  7200 ; refresh
  3600 ; retry
  604800	; expire
  86400 )	; min TTL

 IN NS ns1.domain.tld.
 IN NS ns2.domain.tld.

250 in ptr raq1.domain.tld.
251 in ptr raq2.domain.tld.
252 in ptr raq3.domain.tld.
253 in ptr raq4.domain.tld.
254 in ptr raq5.domain.tld.
