I prefer Solaris and BSD, too. And I posted as much a couple
weeks ago on the developer list, hoping that someone might back
me up, that there _is_ life beyond Linux/x86.
Don't get me wrong... Cobalts have their place. So does Windows.
And when a client runs a Cobalt, great; I have no problem with
that. But I prefer an alternative for something that _I_ must
use. (And, considering that I pounded that drum extensively and
recently on -developers, I'll not do it any more here.)
So give some details and substance on _why_ you dislike the
Cobalts, and prefer Solaris. Things like OS update mechanisms,
multiprocessesor scalability, fine-grained ACLs...
