I have a Raq 4r and a Raq 3i. Both have all patches installed.
I use the 4r as a primary name server and the 3i as secondary.
If I use a 3rd party DNS service the e-mail works. If I setup the DNS, the
web site works but not e-mail. I get an error when sending "The domain of
sender address bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx does not resolve".
I have worked on this problem on and off for 2 months now. I have looked at
the Cobalt archives as well as other sites with DNS info, but I an a novice
at this and some of what I read is over my head. I know I am missing
something but don't know what.
The domain I am trying to setup is flowers123.com.
Below is the DNS info copied from my server.
flowers123.com 209.198.23.218
www.flowers123.com 209.198.23.218
209.198.23.208/24 flowers123.com
209.198.23.218/24 www.flowers123.com
flowers123.com mail is sent to the High priority mail server
flowers123.com
I have also tried changing the MX record to:
flowers123.com -> www.flowers123.com and
flowers123.com -> mail.flowers123.com
but it still did not work.
Thanks to all, as many of my questions have been answered by reading this
