I purchased a RaQ XTR. I am currently running a web server (apache),
mail server (sendmail and pop3), proxy server (squid), backup
(Amanda), and SAMBA on a Linux Redhat box. It also is doing
network/firewall management with ipchains. I have a real on the
internet IP and a 192.168.1 network.
I would like to move all of these over to my RaQ XTR but I can't seem
to get started. (I guess I'm use to a CLI). I have been having endless
problems.
In the initial config through the web I only was presented with
options for RAID0 and RAID5. It has four drives. I didn't get asked
about RAID1. Since the single most important thing I use a system for
is a cacheing proxy server I wondered if there was a way to exclude a
drive from the RADI set up altogether and use it for the proxy cache,
but there seem to be very few options. I chose Raid 0 which actually
should be good enough for what I'm doing. I expect to reinstall at
least oncem just so I can know how, so it's not a big deal to change.
If can't even seem to find what tools I have. Is there an installed
proxy on the thing? Is it possible to run amanda. I was figuring on
continuing to use my existing backup server for a while. I have looked
through, albeit casually, the knowledge base, and can't seemt to find
what I need to get set up.
