For the record, it's no more or less difficult to install and run a new copy
of Majordomo on a RaQ that already has Cobalt's MJ installed than it is to
install on a Red Hat box that has no pre-installed Majordomo.  There's
nothing wrong with your decision to run on a RH7 box - I'm just pointing
this out for others reading this.
