selwerd's list? do you get *any* email? lol

selwerd, osirusoft, spews, spamsites, spamhaus, ordb, spamcop, spambag, rsl, abl, blackholes, dews...

I don't get *any* spam, not even one (nor do my customers) and yes I do check now and again to see if the filtering is too aggressive, and no I can't say I have found it to be so yet...

hmm, that implies you are doing something insane, 5/10's listing
is because his IP is an ADSL line, but you shouldn't be seeing it
unless you are scanning headers after cobalt's mailserver IP, which
means you are in fact blocking *all* mail from *any* dsl user ;P

nope, only xdsl accounts that have been used for, or are "associated with" (meaning share IP space with a spammer) spam at some point, the user in question gets blocked on two counts anyway, as their upstream is one of the worst offenders on the net...
uu.net is full of spammers
bulletproofwebhosting.net
NS for bzah.com (Empire Towers)
scelson
exactis/247media
global2000hosting.net
abuse@xxxxxxxxxxx: webform
for NETBLK-UU-208-243-248-D1
this is not a list of open relays
please see http://selwerd.cx/xbl/

But as they say...your mailbox, your rules...:)

>;^) aye.... and I haven't seen a single spam for oooh I forget how long, and I haven't had anyone upset by it except spammers... my only "problem" with it is I cannot understand why everyone doesn't do it, to my mindset it is as elementary precaution as running a firewall, and there is no downside, the user in question is the only one on the whole cobalt list who gets blocked, and if it was an issue I could go to http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-users if I really wanted to buy something off them... vbg

while we are here and more or less on this subject, one for bruce timberlake, what kernel are these new wunderboxen going to run? and indeed when is cobalt going to release an up to date official kernel for the earlier boxes?
