You can use up to 30 GIG.
See Sun knowledge Base.
40 GIG shows as 4or 4 GIG, that is normal

Betreff: [cobalt-users] 40gig IDE instead 20gig IDE into a RAQ3
Got a strange one for you.
I installed a 40gig IDE instead of the stock 20gig IDE into a RAQ3, I
was
able to install RAQ4 software no problem. We set it up on the T-1 and
started installing updates and we are now ready to start adding domains
to
it and we notice that the drive space only shows 5GIG +.
Have you seen this before? Do we need to put in a 20gig, is this built
into
the ROMs?
Thanks in advance for any input.
