Would this work? I saved it from an old message somewhere but have never
used it, as I don't use SquirrelMail:

That's created by Pine for it's use with IMAP, but sadly everytime you check
with pine, then with POP3 you receive one of these.
To turn this function off (which I've done myself as I use POP3 as apposed
to IMAP) you need to run Pine, go into setup, config and find the option:
quell-folder-internal-msg
It's under: "Advanced User Preferences"
If you put an X in it and save you won't see it ever again :-)
