RE: [cobalt-users] iptables

You Rang?? ;-)

I had to firstly update the BIOS using the cobalt flash utility, then
upgrade the kernel to 2.4 as iptables of course only works with 2.4
kernels, then just a matter of installing the iptables rpm and it was up
and running.
The only thing I never got working was the bandwidth management, and
that's because it's a kernel module loaded on boot-time, and it's a
cobalt-thing so until they move up to 2.4 kernels in a big way that
won't be happening.

One note, is that this isn't on a production machine, its my test-lab,
although its been running without problems for quite some time now and
will be moved into a test-live environment shortly.

Details on where to get the rpm's and bios flash, etc are all in Tim's
section of the cobalt users ftp. Or search the archives as its been
posted many times (Check the developers mailing list since this is a
development issue really)
